This website is dedicated to spreading the mission of Young Polonia Foundation in the United States. Young Polonia Foundation is a not for profit organization that was formed in 1990 by Jozef Kaczmarek. Mr. Kaczmarek, a lifelong educator and a scout leader, for over 50 years was involved with Polish immigrant youth worldwide. In 1990 he formed the foundation to help bring young Poles worldwide together, help them maintain their pride and heritage, and foster their knowledge of Polish culture, language, and customs. Young Polonia Foundation operates from Dom Polski in Warsaw, Poland.

The Piast Institute, a National Institute for Polish and Polish-American Affairs, is the only independent Polish think tank in the United States and an organization dedicated to promoting Polish culture in the USA. To fulfill its goal of Building a New Polonia For the 21st Century, the Institute decided to partner with Young Polonia Foundation and help them fulfill their mission in the United States. Piast Institute is located in Hamtramck, Michigan.
